The weekend before we closed on our new home and moved, we went to an outing in Galveston, TX sponsored by Ryan's employer. They provided tickets for the family for all day passes to the Moody Gardens exhibits, which include 3 pyramids (a rain forest, an aquarium, and a discovery pyramid) as well as tickets to an IMAX show and the Titanic exhibit. We didn't make it to the Titanic exhibit, but we did see the rainforest and aquarium, and Ryan and I traded off going to see IMAX shows. It was a great afternoon, just a few hours, and Quentin really enjoyed identifying the wildlife and getting out and about. It was a beautiful day, great weather, and a fun time. We plan to go back and spend more time at the beach, or go to Schlitterbahn (an incredible water park) before the summer is over. See the slideshow below for more (you won't be able to see the pictures from Google Reader or from within the email update unless you click on the title of this post and go to the actual page).
